My 10-year-old daughter has observed two things that are different in Europe – they count the ground floor as “0” and they often separate the toilet rooms from the sink rooms. But more than that, traveling has given us the chance to observe how unique people are from their language, to customs, and dress. It’s a fantastic exercise, especially for kids, in appreciating we are all different.

Books are another way to celebrate this uniqueness.       3. Kym, I love your message, it’s so needed especially in this era of social media convincing people that it’s better to aspire to become the fake facade that an influencer is promoting, instead of just being true to themselves.

        Being true to ourselves doesn’t mean we are accepting to be inferior just because we don’t have thousands of followers liking our every word and move.

        I love how you are planting seeds with kids, so they can choose to reject trying to fit into a mold they don’t fit into.

  8. One of the things your kids might notice is that air conditioning is not used as much in Europe. Concert halls are an example: no AC. The performers sweat and the audience does, as well.
