Zola gives some driving advice to Miss O.
Thank you Kristina for making Zola available to our daily comic strip!
The perfect guy: Makes me feel loved every day, deep and wise, athletic, kind, inspires me to be a better person, positive and optimistic with a great sense of humor. Thank you, Biscuit, for being that and more in your steadfast and enthusiastic way. From what I can tell you had 13 years, 8 months and 6 great days and 1 bad one and when you were ready to go, you communicated well, went quickly and made it as easy as possible on everyone else, just like you lived. RIP my dear friend and beloved boy.

A Rose Bowl by any other name is a Peach Bowl? Love that the Huskies were ranked 4th in the nation but we’ve carted around this sweatshirt for 53 years and getting a baby, the team and the bowl game to align is proving tricky!
I love the tradition of hiking on New Years Day. As good (or better) for my soul as my body. Thanks Mom for taking care of the next generation hiker so I could go farther, higher and faster. Missed you, Jill Jones!
Simon has some advice for our thin-skinned President-elect.
The Cat on the Mat – Simon’s more mature, sedate persona.
How is it that dogs make it look so easy?
A good friend once told me the secret of his long and happy marriage is that in times of tension, he always thinks, “I could be wrong,” even if he is SURE he is right. I’m trying to apply that and appeal to my love of country in the wake of this election even with my sadness because this felt so personal. So, perhaps I could be wrong and there is a different approach that can shake things up for the good of all people in this country. It’s hard but it softens the heart – the way babies, dogs and cats do!
Too soon? Maybe — Simon thinks so…
