Photos of the Week: September 12

“Remember that some of the best things in your life haven’t happened yet.” – unknown

We were practicing riding the bus so we went downtown to visit Pike Place market and the (in)famous gum wall.

We also visited the famous fish throwers at Pike Place Market. It’s the only type of fish we’ve seen up close since Mr. D has yet to catch one.

Unless you count the plastic ones. Cooper the dog likes to try too.

The sign of the week makes it seem easy to catch fish. Thank goodness we can just tell fish stories by the fire pit instead.

  1. What a great week in review. I can’t catch fish either, but I sure like to eat them. Thankful that there are people who can’t catch fish. Because like the fish, I’m hooked. Have a great week.

  2. I especially like the silhouette of Mr. D fishing. There’s just a hint of Tom Sawyer about it.

P.S. My novel Healing River is coming out this fall, Wynne. I’d be honored if you’d consider reading it and writing a brief endorsement. Assuming the publisher uses it, it will appear on the dust jacket, and possibly on the back of the paperback edition as well. Thanks and blessings! ~Mitch

  3. What lovely moments, Wynne – in nature and by the comfort of the firepit. It’s amazing you’re training the kids to ride the bus now. It’s on our list for the Spring with T.

Speaking of training, those Pike Fish Market staff are world famous. Many moons ago, for a customer service training, we watched a video that featured them. Such charming and winsome service!
