“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” – Abraham Lincoln

Miss O got braces. Pretty in pink. Mr D decided to pamper her by chopping up her popsicle and feeding it to her.

Mountain biking!

Pet parade

Sign of the week. Miss O is laughing!
miss O looks so cute in her braces and it will be worth it in the end. that cool how they make colors now. when my oldest daughter had braces, my middle daughter, was jealous and made her own braces out of an opened up large paper clip to wear around. when she actually ended up needing braces, she was not jealous and understood that they weren’t as fun as she thought they would be. so kind of mr. D to pamper her with the popsicle pieces

How sweet of Mr. D to chop up her popsicle! It’s amazing what kids think of. And braces come in colors now? Where was that in my pre-teen years?! Of course I love the pet parade–such pretty pets.

I love how your photos express the joy of summer. I can’t wait to share the sign (aka dad joke) with a particular friend! I remember braces, got them in sixth grade. They weren’t pink, but they did make me see red, from time to time. Enjoy August, it’s bittersweet as summer winds down. I have no doubt you and your family will make it count! Peace and joy.

Awww, so thoughtful of Mr. D! This might be the mandala effect, but I seem to remember those elastic bands coming in colors when I was younger. That was Canada, so maybe they had it first??! I dunno!

Summertime and the livin’ is easy, Wynne. That mountain bike shot reminded me of prior summers where I was anywhere and everywhere on my bike. If I were to take up that activity again at this point in my life, I’d make darn sure to have a cool helmet like that one!
