“Our house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy.” – unknown

Fun from the reptile show. This is Quibble, a bearded dragon. I choose not to include pictures of snakes in this weekly roundup. You’re welcome.
The featured photo is the view of Mt. Rainier we got while driving to the Reptile show. It made me think we should be driving to the mountains instead…

Decluttering kid stuff. Oh my – we have a lot. I threw a unicorn sticker in the garbage after Cooper chewed it. But after dark, I discovered that even digested and discarded unicorns are magic.

Outdoor and indoor fun.

Miss O scratches Cooper’s sweet spot.

The first picture is heart-shaped Twizzlers. The sign of the week reminded me to appreciate them — before I ate them. 🙂
Mount Ranier looks like it is wearing a halo in that picture. LOL on the snakes. Your post earlier this week inspired my Sunday Spark for tomorrow.
And I LOVE that opening quote. Sums up my feelings about cleaning perfectly.
Have a terrific weekend, Wynne.

Oh, I can’t wait for your Sunday Spark, Michelle! I was thinking of you as we declutter those little kids knick knacks. I lost count of how many things I got rid of… 🙂 Hope you have a terrific weekend as well!

Love, love, love, the climbing wall!!!!! Love how you’re passing along one of your passions to the next generation….and the lizard, (fun picture) reminds me of a season in our families life when daughter # 3 had geckos,

My brother and I built the climbing wall during the pandemic. It’s screwed to the wall. I thought I’d change the hold positioning from time to time but I haven’t gone to the work of unscrewing it from the wall and drilling new holds. But the kids love it anyway!
Love that your daughter had geckos too, Doug! Have a great weekend!

You have a climbing wall in your house for your children, Wynne? You are an amazing mom! Our cat Izzy shoved a little angel off of a shelf this week. Oops! Now she has a broken arm and wing. Somehow it felt sinful to throw out an angel (I actually struggled with that!), and your unicorn story prompted me to fish her out of my office waste bin. I just did. Funny how things all hook together in life, isn’t it?

Funny how things all hook together – such a true comment, Susan! My brother and I built the climbing wall during the pandemic when I couldn’t take the kids to the climbing gym. It’s been fun! Here’s to your angel.

Cooper must be eating you out of house and home. Mr. D. looks like the family climbing tradition will long survive. Nice to watch them grow — a real treat!

Ah yes, Cooper does eat plenty but at least the food is easy to fix. While he was playing around on the climbing wall this week, Mr. D said, “wouldn’t it be fun for us to climb a mountain?” Oh yeah!! 🙂 Hope you have a lovely weekend, Dr. Stein!

I am so glad I found you. I always enjoy your posts and this week’s photo post did not disappoint. Love the weekly quote… somehow we get the idea we need to be perfect. Being okay is better. Sign of the week is inspirational, I might actually sis down and finish the post I started last week. Keep going, peace.

Yes! Mountains over lizards 😉 Course, the kids will aim for the little beasties, no doubt.
I want one of those Twizzlers! And how is that for proof that unicorns are magical! Lovely recap.

LOVE that quote. Oh for the love of reptiles and unicorns and finding them dismantled or thrown up by the dog. Everyday is a new surprise!
I have to say, we had all of those critters and I don’t miss them a bit and next time, I’m having one dog!
Great pics and rich family time, Wynne!

What a great note about opting for fewer household creatures. I hear you, Cindy! Everyday is a new surprise.
I was having trouble commenting on your most recent post so let me say here – I hope this week has fewer gotchas and I love those gowns and reviews!

A bearded dragon came to visit us this week as the electricity went out in the neighborhood and he needed the heat of our gas fire! I was secretly horrified and charmed. “See the miraculous in the ordinary,” my motto in life. Hug, C

The featured photo is amazing. I saw it in 1996 while visiting Fort Lewis (now Joint Base Lewis–McChord). I definitely need to go back and see that beauty again. The quote from Village Market is spot on when looking at Mt. Rainier.
