“Many of the great achievements of the world were accomplished by tired and discouraged (wo)men who kept on working.” – Oscar Wilde
This week has not been one of my favorites. But nonetheless, we’ve had fun…

Biking

Climbing

Reaching high

Road tripping

I went for a walk the day after the election. I was feeling heart-sore and tired. When I came upon these ducks, the scene hit me right in the heart. One duck was sleeping while the other paddled around and around. It spoke to me of reassurance, of faith, and of peace.
It helped reorient me to the bigger picture of what I believe that is more enduring than politics. It’s in that spirit that I choose this sign of the week.
I liked the quote and hope those who are loving win. We can combine the two and then some. I know a person who does that each day. Her name is Wynne Leon.

Another busy, busy week! I certainly agree with the sign, but to be realistic it needs to have “… in the end” added for completeness. And, sadly, the “end” has just gotten further away. 🥲

Oh, what a wise addition. “In the end. You are right, the end has gotten further away – but dang it, we’ll keep going!

Beautiful photos. It is always the basics which win, the necessities but the right person will always be there. It does not matter the color, creed, wealth but that other’s needs are also considered. I stay away from media but look around me at the signs and the change we need.

I love that your walk, photos and the birds; one swirling, one basking gave you some time to just be in the puddle of such a plethora of emotions that can’t be understood, only felt. 💕

Fun to see all this playfulness! I don’t know if there’s a country song titled “Pink Guitar on the Hood of My Car.” If not, there should be.

Wonderful photos of joy and love, Wynne! Your children and Cooper are adorable! My emotions have been the same, and I think it will take time to fully return to ‘normal’ but I love your ‘epiphany’ at the end. Reading your words have been enlightening to the bigger picture – how we move forward because forward is the only option. Enjoy your Sunday! ❤️🤗

Thank you, Lauren. I really like what you say about taking time to return to normal. I think that’s right on. Forward is the only option and we’ll get there loving others! Thank you!

If we could only see the world through the eyes of a child, what a wonderful world we would see. I could’ve sworn I left a comment..but evidently I did not. I agree, it’s been a whirlwind of a week. But love wins. Always. Stay well and peace.

Beautiful photos of the kids having fun despite the larger changes in the world this past week. 💕 I can see and sense Cooper’s melancholy too. 😔
There’s always light after darkness and the pendulum always swings back. We will all get through this by staying connected and with each other.
