“If you surrender to the wind, you can ride it.” – Toni Morrison

Cooper’s first vacation. I think he enjoyed it – and the rest of us did too even in windy and stormy conditions!

Cooper – wondering what to pack. And the cat showing that she might have even missed him just a little bit.

How is it that Mr. D can look pensive about chocolate chip cookies but enthused about worms? I’d question his taste…but maybe it’s just some sort of wormhole effect. (To the extent I know about wormholes, it’s just enough to know that there’s no relation to real science or astronomy in that statement.) 😉

The latest grocery store soda display and the sign of the week. Seems like with inflation, the charge should be higher.
Beautiful 🌹

If you could somehow get the chocolate chip cookies to wiggle remotely on the plate, Mr. D might look less pensive??😀..lovely pictures as always..thank you for sharing!

Great idea about wiggling cookies. When I figure out how to do that, I’ll definitely post a picture! 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

Wonderful pics! How sweet that cat may have missed Cooper. And the grouchy sign is the best… I don’t offer any services, but I want that haha!

Oh my…I think you need to start a ‘caption it’ contest, Wynne. I’ll lead off. Cooper’s expression in the car with the kids? This was the first thing I thought of when I saw the pic…a bubble coming from Coopie’s head that says, “I can’t even…sigh.” So glad the furball got his first taste of ‘bacation’. That pic of Coop gazing into the water? Moody and magnificent. 🥰💕🥰

Oh, I love the caption idea! And your is so good. But perhaps he’s saying, “If I close my eyes, perhaps they won’t think it was me that just tooted?!” 🙂

Wonderful post and pictures! I like the picture of Cooper looking at the water, engaging in some kind of dog meditation and taking it all in. 😀

That $10 charge will surely be $20 by the end of the year, Wynne. However, if it is that high maybe it will convince mean folks to actually be nice folks.

Christmas is less than 10 days away. The kids must be so excited!

Fabulous photos! Did Cooper swim? We couldn’t keep our yellow lab Angus out of the water, but maybe it’s a warmer ocean in Laguna Beach.

Cooper didn’t swim. The water was pretty rough though. My last golden didn’t swim until he was 1 so perhaps it takes some working up to. Angus — just love the thought of him from your stories!

Give him time. It’s also cleaner for the vacation home and car if he doesn’t swim!

Pensive about a cookie. Ha! Man, those store displays are rather spectacular. What a fun job it must be to create those. How wonderful it would be if the person who put it together saw you take a picture and to then know someone appreciated the effort that went into it.

What a sweet comment, Betsy. It would be fun for the person who built it to see me taking a photo of that display!
