Humor: Jan 16

Each of my dad’s humor notecards has a notation of when he used them, all part of his system to make sure he didn’t ruin the fun by repeating himself. This card of doctor notes shows that he used it several times for different sermons and classes. I can see why – they had me laughing out loud!

Doctor’s notes on patient’s charts (actual notes – unedited)

  1. Patient has chest pain if she lies on her left side for over a year.
  2. On the 2nd day the knee was better and on the 3rd day it disappeared completely.

  1. Your dad truly could have been a comedian. I also think he would’ve done very well on Tik Tok these days! These are hilarious. The one with the constipated wife until she got a divorce is hilarious. 😆 Happy Sunday!

    1. That one totally cracked me up too. As did the patient who was scheduled to have a bowel resection but became a stockbroker instead. 🙂

I’ve always thought that he used humor to make people laugh at loud, do a great big exhale so they were ready to inhale some good truth.

Have a great day my friend!

  3. I question these doctors notes, what were they thinking??!! Not just punctuation or spelling errors but complete weird thoughts! We’re they overworked? Was their chicken scratch handwriting misinterpreted? Did they lack the ability to speak logically? Clearly these doctors were on a completely different level than us mere mortals! 🤣🤣

  4. This gave me a good chuckle. I sent this over to my friend who is a doctor who periodically sends me the random miscellaneously bad notes he also encounters. And to think the rest of us agonize over making sure we send the perfect emails -_-
