We were driving home from visiting my mom at her apartment. My 6-year-old daughter said to me, “It’s so odd that Nana puts plates up on her wall and calls them Christmas decorations.”
“Right, we all do things so differently” I replied as we pulled into our driveway greeted by our Christmas slug inflatable.
I love your decorative slug! And yes, to each their own for sure. You may recall in the Philippines, it’s common to see giant wooden spoons and forks hanging on walls!

Yes – I do remember that. I think my mom still has some of those decorations. I should tell her to hang those next time my daughter comes around to cause another head scratcher. 🙂 What I remember most about those Christmases I spent in the Philippines (until I was 7) was we had so many beautiful lighted stars as decoration. Thanks for prompting these memories, Ab!

Yes, Filipinos go a little extra with Christmas. And it’s wonderful!
