“There are no traffic jams along the extra mile.” – Roger Staubach

We were sick this week – 4th week of the school year is when it seems to happen every year. But we still managed to get out and do some evening skating.

Faithful dog

Cooper likes the sign of the week. It means he can be a valet – or Santa!
Lots of great Cooper shots. Yes, he can be anything! I hope everyone will be feeling better soon. (I recall those days. It’s all those other germy kids, right?)

I smiled at the faithful dog! I remember Virgo always did that to me.🤩 Lovely photos, Wynne.

Sorry to hear you’ve been under the weather, Wynne. Hope you’re doing better now.
And I LOVE that quote. So true! The extra mile is a lonely place.

The colors and creatures are splendid, and Miss O’s pink skates add to the mix. Good health to all and the future careers of Cooper, Wynne!

Those almonds are always making the rest of us look like slackers! 😂 I’m feeling a little pressed. 🤣
All kidding aside, I hope you’re all on the mend and can enjoy your weekend. Congrats on making it through the 1st full month of school!

Oh…so sorry to hear that “early school year ick” has arrived! Sending hugs to all…and I have a question! I love the photo of Mr. D. reading — Cooper at his side, always ready for the camera. But WHAT do I see in the bushes behind Mr. D and Cooper-Duper? A stealth furry friend? Camera shy? LOL! 😜

Looks like a lovely week, in spite of the illness. Happy weekend!

It’s so lovely to see your kids playing in the front yard. As a child, we children ran all over the neighborhood playing in each other’s yard. These days it’s rare to see kids out playing in their yards. So many neighborhoods look sterile, unlived in. Sad.

Hope you guys are on the mend, but if you got out for roller-skating it looks as though you are. I’m trying to decipher the photo with Mr. D and Cooper, there’s a fishing pole? and Cooper on his back showing is his underside of his head? That photo needs a bigger caption!

Back to school ick is…simply ick. Hard to avoid, hard to push through. I hope wellness returns quickly, and maybe if Cooper is gonna go all in playing Santa, he can bring you the gift of good health asap. Kudos to almonds for being the inspiration we didn’t know we needed lol!

Sending so many get-well wishes to your household! Week four is brutal time for school germs to hit. It’s so sweet that Cooper has taken on full caretaker duties – there really is no comfort quite like a loyal pup when you’re sick. Hope everyone feels better quickly!

Cooper does look like a great mini Santa. Move over big guy, let Cooper do his thing. I love it. Who wouldn’t want Cooper coming down the chimney.

Another side splitter of a weekly sign! I look forward to your weekly post of joy (and hard work). Each week your reminder of the hard work of parenting never truly ends. Thank you. And Cooper could’ve found a matching pair! makes me laugh about all of sock orphans in my home!

So… you just put your phone right up to those ducks faces to take a pic- and they were ok with it?! Sweet! 🤩
