“In a gentle way, you can shake the world.” – Gandhi

The days are shorter, the mornings are colder…and were doing our fall house maintenance chores. The plum tree that Mr. D is trimming produced 85 lbs that were donated to a food bank.

Cooper is trying to apply to get on some work crews. Apparently the lectures I’ve given him on stranger danger are not sinking in.

The pet gallery — and the biking to school gang.

It rained for the first time in a long time. We are glad it wet our plants…
Looks like fall is coming. That’s a lot of plums!

Happy Saturday, Wynne!🌸💕
I wish it was a little cooler here. It’s still in the 90s on most days. Glad you’re finally getting rain. I love rainy days. Enjoy!

I love this time of the year – and love that you all helped the local food bank while tidying up your yard. Cooper will find a crew, no problem. And I gotta laugh at how perpetually unimpressed Simone looks. 🤣 I love that the kids have school biking gang. What a great way to start each day!

I thought you might like the bike gang. Mr D has a better day when it starts with biking!
And yes, Simone does do unimpressed quite well! Hope you all are enjoying a lovely weekend

Congratulations on the plums and the wonderful donation you gave! Eagle was a big puddle splasher. Mr. D looks like he’s about to enter a growth spurt.

Puddle splashing is fun! I’m starting to wondering when the growth spurts actually start and slow because it seems continuous!! Hope you have a great weekend!

Love all your photos, Wynne! Summer hasn’t left us yet, but she is being gentle. So the days are gorgeous, but I love autumn and can’t wait for the change. 🧡

The sign of the week reminds me that when I was in grade school I once did wet my plants! No fun, I will tell you that! I’d like to say thanks for the reminder, Wynne, but at this distance such things no longer carry a sting.

Ah, love that time takes out the sting. You reminded me that I wet my plants in grade school too. Funny!

I’m highly impressed by the kids helping with maintenance – can I hire them next?! Though, I think Cooper might have stolen the spotlight this time; that picture with the repairman is priceless!
