“Everyone shines given the right lighting.” – Susan Cain

This week while Miss O was at horse camp

Mr D and I golfed. For anyone who’s wondering where Big Foot is…check out Deception Pass

We worked on our “leave things better than we found them” project refinishing a table.

But still had time for fishing and paddleboarding

And go to the Island Shakespeare Festival where we were well entertained and found the sign of the week.
Those sea photos are serene. Gorgeous photos, Wynne!

Oh my goodness. Edward Ortiz and I were just chatting about our mutual love of Susan Cain’s work…so fabulous to see a quote to lead off your post today, Wynne. What a week! 💝

What a beautiful week you all had! Horse camp sounds like a wonderful late summer activity – and I just love how you worked together to refinish that table. So many soft and technical skills gained through that.
And I’m glad you got time to sit still on the paddleboard in the water. Looks soul refreshing!
Enjoy your weekends – summer is winding down way too fast!

I went out paddleboarding early one morning and Mr. D came downstairs and saw me. He said to my friend, Eric, “I feel bad that Mom is out paddling alone.” I guffawed when I heard that one – I guess having alone time is something he has yet to value. 🙂 Hope you all have a great week, Ab!! ❤

As a kid, I used to think going to a movie or show alone is lame but boy is it such a treat these days! 😂

Yes, it has been an incredible treat for us all. We’re back home now and aren’t going to rent our house out any more but it was a good way to make an epic summer possible!

Great pics! So you guys refinished the wooden table at a place you were renting? That’s really cool! Definitely putting your money where your mouth is as far as leaving things better!🤩
