Photos of the Week: June 13

If you are too busy to laugh, you are too busy.” – Proverb

Mr. D’s baseball team went to the championship of his Little League, Miss O is graduating from elementary school (5th grade), one of my dearest friends is turning 60, and my AirBnB renter wants to come a day early. This week I’ve been cooked, as the 5th graders say it. A swirl — of all good things — for sure! But we haven’t been too busy to laugh, thank goodness!

The Giants played gallantly in the championship game. They didn’t win but still earned baseball themed cake pops.

Miss O’s last field day for elementary school. The 5th graders competed against the teachers in the annual tug-of-war tradition — and won!

I’ve been getting so much wonderful help on preparing our house for renters. Including my incredibly strong mom who is still willing to climb ladders at age 87!

The animals are wondering – you wouldn’t leave us for 18 days, would you?

  1. I hope you all just have the best time Wynne! Cooper and Simone are probably confused, wondering what flying first class is going to be like and if they really will have more leg room than the family back in the main cabin 🙂 😉
They will be so glad to see you when you get back!

    1. Excellent question, Darlene. Simone is going to “Whiskers Lodge” – a new cat boarding facility near us. Cooper will be with my friend, Eric and Rusty the gecko is going next door. 🙂

  3. It looks joyous. I can think of nothing better. As a Cubs fan, I can appreciate the nature of defeat. To the good, Mr. D has lots more games ahead.

  4. Thank you for sharing this. What a full and joy-filled week. I love the reminder to keep laughing in the middle of it all, even when life feels like it’s playing extra innings and no one’s ready to go home yet

  7. I love that proverb. We really do have to make things fun!

Congratulations to Mr. D. and team for their baseball success, and to Miss O on her graduation.

And your mom looks amazing! She seems a lot like my mom, going strong at 93, although not up to climbing any ladders. 😂

    1. I’ll save some Kleenex for you! Isn’t this roller coaster amazing? Something I’d never say about an actual roller coaster but this one is a ride! So grateful to be riding in sync with you all, Ab. Wishing T a wonderful graduation!
