“You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” – Winnie the Pooh

The adventures to get the house ready for our AirBnB renters continue.

But we still have time to play baseball. Even Cooper is in to the game.

But not the cat. Maybe she’s too busy laughing about the sign of the week.
You are quite the team! Go Cooper, Go!!

Um, smart and great workers? I could’ve used these guys yesterday working in my yard! I’ll pay for their air fare — especially if it means I get out of mowing. Ha ha.

They are available for hire! Although Miss O finished mowing and then left the mower in the middle of the yard. So we’re working on care for our tools… 🙂

They’re hired!!!!!! I leave the mower in the middle of the yard too. But I must admit — it’s usually out of exhaustion! Ha ha. 🤭🤭😎😎😎😎

Are you and kiddos vacationing while the house is being an AirBnB or staying in town? I think you’re pretty brave to do this 🙂

It all started because we have some friends living in France that are moving at the end of the summer so we wanted to go see them before they moved. But the airfares just climbed and climbed so I needed a way to make it economically feasible. I figured that if it didn’t work, I’d get a cleaned out, fixed up house and if it did, we could travel to Europe while it’s rented out. And then I got two bookings right away. Oh good grief – I couldn’t believe it worked.
It’s been so much work – I just fall into bed at the end of the day. But we’re so excited about (and involved in) our adventure so that’s the great part. 🙂

Oh Wynne, this is amazing. I can understand how O & D are so excited, you as well! Such an adventure and so many stories to tell once you are back.

That Winnie the Pooh quote is one of my all-time favourites. It became my motto during cancer treatment.
And look at those hard-working kids! They’ll have your house ship-shape in no time.

I love that quote too. And I think of you all the time because you wouldn’t believe how we’ve decluttered. And I use your trick to take pictures of some things before we let them go. When we stopped at the donation center with a car full of stuff for the fifth week in a row, Mr. D said, “why do we come here every week?” I’ve lost count of how many things we’ve gotten rid of — but you’d be proud of us! 🙂

That’s fantastic, Wynne! And a great example to set for your kids that they are more than their possessions. I love it! 💖

Tell me… where will you live while your house is rented out? Or will you be galavanting around during summer holidays?

We are going to travel when the house is rented. It was a kick in the rear for me to make the plans once that we rented the place out. 🙂 It’s a weird combo – but we’re going to Hawaii (because we had a free ticket) and then flying to Europe. It was cheaper to fly to Amsterdam from Honolulu than any other closer city I checked. Airline pricing is weird!!

I am sitting here wishing I had your crew – mine have flown the coop! Your crew is like that fence – running circles around me! Enjoy the weekend and the summer ahead. Where is France will you all be visiting?

Oh, good one, Clay! Our friends are in a little village outside Paris. We also have friends in Amsterdam and outside of London so we’re going to make a grand tour of it! It’ll be an adventure for sure!

You are visiting the same places I went last summer. What a coincidence! You will have fun. Last summer I fell in love with Vincent Van Gogh and his work among other things. I know you will have an amazing trip.

Nice to see Cooper getting in on the action! Which begs the question: where does he go after striking out? To the DOGout?

Cooper looks like a mean catcher, and I like the cat’s style—chillin from a distance. The sign was hilarious.
