“When you see someone putting on his Big Boots, you can be pretty sure that an Adventure is going to happen.” – A. A. Milne

We went on a road trip from Seattle to San Francisco to see family this week. So, you got to stretch your legs in any way possible, right?

A fun SF art installation on the JFK Promenade

Riding in driverless cars and playing virtual reality games

Ghirardelli Square and birds of paradise

The sign of the week — found at a rest stop in Southern Oregon and Miss O’s best shocked face!
I miss having kids around, they just make life better…

Looks like a fun adventure. I loved touring the chocolate factory the one and only time I visited San Francisco! That dessert deserves a shocked look. xo

Looks like great good time had by all. The sign of the week should also be used as a yard sign! Thanks, Wynne.

That toilet seat cracks me up! May have to buy one. Sounds like a full week! How many hours on the road from your place to SF?

It was such a funny find in a small bathroom in Ashland, Oregon! It’s about 13 hours driving each way. Only 3 more to go but it’s been a great trip!

Looks like a fun trip! What was it like in the driverless car?
LikeLiked by 1 person
It was interesting because it feels like the same ride every time you get in one. As opposed to a taxi or Uber that is different because the driver is different. Know what I mean? But it was less nerve-racking than I expected. An adventure for sure!

What a fun trip for you and your kids. It looks like you had beautiful weather. My kids live in the East Bay and my daughter said she was stuck in a downpour. So you lucked out. I had sorority sisters at the UW whose dad owned Ghirardelli chocolates and Rice a Roni, the San Francisco treat! We had an endless supply of chocolate.

What?? That’s awesome!
We had some big downpours on Sunday as we drove down but then it cleared from then on so we were lucky.

The toilet seat is great! This feels like a hidden gem. Was it crowded or pretty low-key?

A hidden gem — I think you said it perfectly! It was pretty low-key and that made it even more fun. Thanks for the lovely comment!

That sign is so unexpected; I hope it makes everyone who sees it giggle. Bravo for being brave enough to take a driverless car.One picked us up recently to take us to the airport. I would have canceled the ride, but we were on a tight timeline. Talking about being driven to overcome a fear.

I’m smiling about your “being driven to overcome a fear” line. Wowsa – no kidding!
Love that you are laughing along with us about the toilet seat. We laughed all over again when we passed that gas station on the way home!
Have a great week, MSW!
