Photos of the Week: April 4

i thank You God for most this amazing
day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes…” – e. e. cummings

We were so fortunate to be able to spend last weekend at our favorite beach getaway on Whidbey Island. It was some sorely needed downtime for the end of March.

Cooper on the beach and an adorable puppy we met.

Mr. D’s first little league game of the season. I love the team spirit!

The sign of the week and our neighborhood skeleton using sign language to usher in Spring!

  1. Every home should have a skeleton in the closet. This one seems to have escaped, with the family secrets intact.

  2. A beautiful glimpse of family life. Such a blessing. ❤️ I have always wanted to go to Whidbey island to attend Deborah Koff-Chapin‘s touch drawing retreat. Are you familiar with her?

  4. A gentle, sun-warmed snapshot of gratitude 🌿 The e. e. cummings quote sets a luminous tone that carries through the whole piece. Each moment, beach, puppy, little league, even the playful skeleton, feels like a small treasure gathered and held up to the light. It’s simple, sincere, and quietly joyful. A touch more detail could deepen the imagery, but its softness is part of its charm.

  7. I love the opening quote, that’s beautiful. the puppy look’s like it could be a relative of cooper’s. this is a lovely way to enjoy the end of march and welcome in April and it looks like skelly is picking up some skills.

  9. Is Miss O knitting or crocheting?! That is a great hobby – don’t tell her Math is involved – kids always think “I will never us all this stuff they teach us in school!”
