“You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.” – Maya Angelou
We didn’t have tangled Christmas tree lights – but we have Cooper the thief who likes to entangle us in his antics!

We put ornaments on the tree — and Cooper takes them off.

We decorated gingerbread houses with my friend Jill. Cooper moves the decorations around.

Singing to the elves on the shelf (top of the piano) and Mr. D wearing a sweatshirt that is perfectly suited for his gap-toothed grin!

Cooper stealing a stocking — and not apologizing for it per the sign of the week!
Cooper seems to be the star this week. Happy Holidays Wynne!

Yep, in keeping with the theme for the week, he stole the show. 🙂

Oh, Cooper. You are so darn adorable. Our dogs have never even attempted to remove a tree ornament. Maybe there is something wrong with them! When we had cats I would find ornaments hidden in various places in the house and a gingerbread man’s head went missing. The GAP shirt is perfect for Mr D.

That’s funny, Darlene. I’m surprised they didn’t go for the entire gingerbread man! I think your dogs must be too content to mess with the tree. 🙂

Cooper steals the show this week Wynne.
He is adorable!
Thank you for sharing.

I’m laughing, Maggie. Sure – he stole everything else so why not the show too? Thanks for the giggle! 🙂

You all look ready for the holiday! Especially Cooper with his decorations and Santa hat. Can dogs be trained to put decorations On The Tree? ; )

I don’t know about training dogs to put things on the tree, Rebecca. What a clever way that would be to reverse the Cooper effect. 🙂

How fun. I love your weekly photos. Cooper is such a ham.

maybe you just need a change in perspective. either Cooper thinks the things would look better in another spot, due to his natural flair for decorating, or, he is trying to clean up all of these things that you are leaving around, they look out of place, and you are not appreciating all of his hard work. the kids are darling and are clearly getting ready, with the excitement building toward Christmas!

I needed this perspective shift, Beth! You’re right – next year I’ll just put Cooper in charge and call it good. 🙂

Ya know…your trio? Mr. D., plus Miss O, and the scene-stealing Cooper…they provide the best weekly grins. Hugs to all! 😊❤️😊

I think tangled Christmas lights long ago became a Holiday tradition at our house, Wynne. Hard to blame Cooper for stalking that stocking. Never apologize, Cooper. You do you!

You have me laughing, Bruce! I’ll tell Cooper to stay authentic but I’m pretty sure he was planning never to change! 🙂

I love that quote. Not sure how I’d fare if someone judged me for that stuff, although I think that externally I’d keep my cool! Cooper loves Christmas, doesn’t he? Lots of new toys.

Ah, you make a good point about internal/externally, Belinda. You’re right about Cooper – just a big baby! 🙂 Hope you enjoy the weekend! ❤

Here’s hoping Cooper is just as helpful when it’s time to undecorate after the holidays!

have two more “tests” you can add to that list…take a long distance ride in a car with someone, and sort hogs…yep, “sort hogs” ..that’s when it’s time to send them to market, you cull out the ones that are not quite ready…Your Cooper looks like such a cuddle bug!

Oh boy – two great additions. Not to say that I’ve sorted hogs before but I can imagine! And the car ride — for sure!! Thanks, Doug!

Cooper keeps you busy. Is the cat behaving okay with the Christmas’ decorations ?

Good question, Cristiana. She climbed the tree the first year but has left it alone ever since. Probably just gets Cooper to mess with it and then she doesn’t have to bother. 🙂

Wonderful, my friend. I think Cooper is just trying to help decorate the house. He’s just looking for the right place to put the decorations. 😂 I like Maya Angelou’s quote. I think I’m good with rainy days and definitely don’t mind getting wet, but the other two… 🤬
