“If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else.” – Booker T. Washington

We are back from vacation! My kids let me pick them up for a picture on the Whidbey Island ferry. It mirrors a picture we did three and a half years ago — but I think this might be the last year I can pick them both up at once.
Then we were happy to be back home to see Cooper!

And Simone, the cat — and be in a neighborhood where interesting characters that watch us out their windows.

The kids did a sailing camp this week which was good for beating the heat — including taking dips in Puget Sound and running through sprinklers at home.

Sign of the week — and Cooper being his most intense!

Your photo’s lifted me up Wynne 🙌🏽
Make the most of being able to lift up Miss O and Mr D – what a great photo of you all.
And COOPER 🥰
And Simone 🐈 🥰

This week’s photos certainly are uplifting. I saw the photo of you holding your kids and I wondered, then I read the caption! At some point being able to lift up our kids and lifting up our kids changes from being that we are able to do it physically to being able to do it metaphorically. I love the photo of the kids running through the sprinkler and the rainbow; it’s priceless – it’s a framable photo. And a dad joke for the sign? Thanks Wynne have a wonderful weekend.

The rainbow running through the sprinklers brought back so many memories of my childhood. I’m not sure there’s anything more fun than that on a hot day.

I love the photo of you three on the ferry. In a few years, it’ll be a photo of them two holding you up. I can’t wait for that one!
Love the rainbow appearing in the sprinkler, a heavenly wink in your day. 💕🌈

Looking at the photo from three years ago vs. now, it’s amazing the difference. Next year, you may need the kids to lift you up!

I bet by next year they’ll be able to pick me up. It’s going so fast!

You should hold a fun blog contest. Choose which day Wynne’s kids will be able to pick her up without assistance; closest one to the actual date wins. Kind of like guessing the number of pennies in a jar!

That sign cracks me up every time. Awesome photos, and that neighbor’s cat doesn’t look very friendly. 😆

The sign makes me chuckle too! The neighbors cat was probably startled to see me, the dog AND our cat out walking at 6am. 🙂

Yep, I understand now. That cat is probably hating the relationship between Cooper and Simone. Maybe it’s an anti-DEI cat. 😆
