Photos of the Week – July 5

Everyone thinks of changing the world, be no one thinks of changing himself.” – Leo Tolstoy

Miss O and Mr D celebrating earning a green belt and red belt respectively in Aikido.

Two different types of community building. The first is the annual neighborhood car show. We love attending because we run into lots of friends and see cool vehicles like old fire trucks.

The second is Cooper ringing the bell for the cat so someone will open the door for her.

I believe the soda display is showing the Mariner moose, our MLB team’s mascot. And I love the sign of the week – makes me laugh every time!

  1. Cooper steals the show. Not many dogs would be that thoughtful! And the sign is perfect. My summer body is definitely running late, like about five years late!

  6. Is that Mt. Rainier in the background of the first pic? Our daughter and fam live out that way. What an awe-inspiring sight, that mountain! It’s not only tall, but broad. It takes a surprisingly long time to fly over it to approach the Seattle airport! / Kudos to the kids for their achievement in aikido!

  8. Love the pictures! earning the belts reminds me of when I signed up with my 6th grade daughter for Taekwondo. Guessing it’s somewhat similar. is there any martial arts in your background? I’m guessing yes. πŸ™‚ you have a smart dog!

    1. Martial arts is great for kids, isn’t it, DM? I have never done martial arts except for family days at my kids’ dojo. It’s been so good for their coordination and focus!

I’ll give Cooper an extra pat from you! Have a great week!

  11. Awesome photos, and the signs always make me laugh. My summer body is way late, and at this rate, it’s going to be my winter body. πŸ˜‚ Cooper is the best friend ever, ringing the bell so the cat can come in is amazing.
