Photos of the Week: March 1

Keep your feet on the ground and your thoughts at lofty heights.” – Peace Pilgrim

There are few things sadder at a kid’s birthday party than having your face paint smear. But there’s nothing better than someone who will sit in line with you to get it touched up.

We went to see a concert and Hamilton this week. Hamilton was a-amazing!! When Mr. D emptied his pockets at the concert, I got to see what he thinks is important enough to bring to a show.

Making popcorn. And I’m not sure about the clouds – but maybe a kernel is escaping through the hole in the sky?

We had lovely spring-like weather. So we spent some time practicing baseball. Shagging balls isn’t as easy as it used to be — for me, at least!

Miss O had two more teeth extracted — this time on the other side. Cooper is channeling his best empathy.

Cooper wants everyone to stay safe. Especially if you are skydiving! I think I’ll do as the quote for this post suggests and keep my feet on the ground.

  1. Lol, I’m loving the contents of Mr. Ds pockets, carrying chopsticks is very practical if one is a hungry growing boy, one never knows when food will show up! 😁 Looks like another great week, except for the teeth extractions. Hopefully that’s all done for a while!

      1. Yes, glad those are finished. Asian people often carry their own chopsticks around d to eat with. Sounds like he’s practical!

  2. Your kids are so good at being photographed, they will soon be in the movies. Stardom beckons and your retirement is assured, Wynne!

  3. Your captioning game as you capture magic moments is amazing, Wynne. I love the pairing of Miss O’s extraction at the dentist and Cooper playing along. Hilarious! 🤣

  4. Chopsticks! Too funny. I see Mr D concentrating on the impending bottom of the escalator, calculating his next move. I do that too, I’m always nervous that I’ll trip up when the stairs collapse!

  6. We were fortunate to see “Hamilton” in Portland right before we moved. It was absolutely spectacular (though I’d have loved to have seen it with Lin-Manuel Miranda and the original cast). Glad y’all enjoyed it!

  7. Oh that sign is hilarious! 😂

What a precious week you all had. I love the face paints. And how lucky for them to have seen Hamilton – it’s on my wishlist and have rave reviews.

Happy March and enjoy your weekend and the week ahead!

  8. Saturday was busy, Sunday too. catching up on my reading and leave a note or two. We had sunshine both days. Looks like you had sunshine all week, even if it wasn’t visible. What a blessing. I know what you ,eat about shagging balls! Ha. Not sure if I could jump out of an airplane, if I had to, maybe. Here’s to another fabulous week. Peace.

  9. I loved the picture of Miss O embracing Mr. D. You were right about the Miss O and Cooper matching picture—it’s hilarious! Skydiving? Yeah, I’m with you on that. I only jumped out of an airplane because they paid me, and I was insured, so I knew the family would be fine if something happened to me. Me paying to jump and signing waivers? No thank you.
