Photos of the Week: December 7

Passion is what makes life interesting, what ignites our soul, drives our curiosity, fuels our love and carries our friendship, stimulates our intellect, and pushes our limit…A passion for life is contagious and uplifting.” – Jon Krakauer

The flavor of the week starts with gingerbread house making.

Throwing rocks and riding bikes

Sword fighting and going for a sleep-over. No, I didn’t send them away BECAUSE they’d been sword fighting. 🙂

Miss O in a panda suit and bowing out after earning her orange belt in Aikido. Thank goodness she didn’t have to do the test in the panda suit.

The Christmas cactus that I’ve had for 33 years. My dad helped me buy it when I was 22 years old. Now that he’s gone, the cactus is one of the ways I feel his love for Christmas all around.

And another treasure – my mom. Who is pretty good at juggling balls!

Cooper wants to start a writing career. I hope he doesn’t lose interest…

  1. Happy Saturday, Wynne! I always enjoy seeing your photos and reading the stories behind them. They always add a little more joy to my day.☺️ Thanks for sharing.

Also, having a plant for over 30 years is remarkable! Your dad would be so proud.💕

  2. your weekly post of goings on within and near your family are such a soothing balm on a Saturday morning. love the panda’s accomplishment, and it’s not really a full week unless a bit of gingerbread building and sword fighting is involved.

  3. I love this! I always look forward to what has transpired in your life over the previous week. It always makes me smile…..always. The sign this week is a dad joke, but that’s another thing. Three weeks and a few days and we’re in a new year. WOW, and then the Christmas cactus will be 34 and we’ll be both still be young at heart. Stay well and let your light shine.

  4. Great pics, as always. Miss O and Mr D look very pleased and proud of their gingerbread houses. And, boy, your Christmas cactus is looking a lot better than my 15-year old one. A lot better!! 😊

  7. What an eclectic week of activities you’ve all had! Love the gingerbread homes and the Aikido photos. I got excited by your writer news then I remembered Cooper was the dog and not your son! 😂 I need more coffee. But exciting nonetheless. I bet Cooper has a good tail to tell!

    1. Oh, I’m howling about her packing. And guess what? She forgot her pajamas because that whole suitcase is filled mostly with pillows and stuffies she likes to sleep with.
