“Once you have tasted the taste of sky, you will forever look up.” – Leonardo da Vinci

September in Seattle is so typically delightful. So we were outside a lot this week like for this Saturday morning bike ride.

My brother learned to sail at 6-years-old in the Philippines and has never stopped loving being out on the water. Miss O and Mr. D were delighted to get their hands on the tiller.

More fun in the water.

Cooper cannot believe these two bunnies don’t want to hang out with him. Fortunately, Miss O is a much more willing friend!

The cat has more of an arm’s length idea of snuggling.

Reaching for the sky. Because as the sign of the week implies, there’s no time to waste!
Thanks for the blog and sharing the photos. Looks like you had a great time outdoors. The quote by Leonardo da Vinci is so fitting. Keep enjoying the beautiful September in Seattle!

I always enjoy this post. The photos of your family learning and growing and just being outside always makes me smile. The sign reminds me there are so many other things that suck up time but being outside is a gift. Have a wonderful weekend.

Where did your brother learn to sail in the Philippines? I imagine what an experience that must’ve been.
Enjoy your weekend together!

So funny you asked that because I was going to put it in but thought it might only have meaning to you. He learned in Manila Bay. There’s a funny story about him taking my dad for a sail shortly after he learned. My dad leaned back to relax while his son sailed him around — and tipped the boat over. 🙂
Hope you all have a great weekend!

More wonderful pics of so many activities. For some reason the pic of the cat gave me the biggest smile, but Mr D’s sunglasses were a close second.

It is awfully nice to be outside. Hope it’s cooled down enough in Phoenix so that’s true for you too!

It’s under 105, which is big news here! That means it’s cool enough to walk after sundown without breaking too much of a sweat. 😊
