“Waiting insistently in front of a tightly closed door is unfair to all of the open doors! Give a chance to the open doors!” – Mehmet Murat ildan

There was a lot of excitement in our house for the UW vs Michigan game last week. It didn’t quite turn out as we hoped but it wasn’t for lack of cheering.

Shredding and cooking. Two distinctly different activities but done in our house with the same amount of enthusiasm.

“A door is what a dog is perpetually on the wrong side of.” – Ogden Nash

Love the purple wig! π And itβs amazing how Ms O and Mr D are so helpful and enthusiastic around the house. A nice inspiration for the weekend.
Hope you enjoy the weekend ahead together!

The gas station must know you well, Wynne.

Very observant, Dr. Stein. But the funny thing is that I never buy gas there – it’s too expensive.

Thank you, Natalie. Our little nearby lake doesn’t have the expansiveness of your Silver Coast but water is so lovely, isn’t it?

Wise words from Ogden Nashβ”A door is what a dog is perpetually on the wrong side of.” If you hadn’t given him credit, I’d have thought that was one of your genius statements, Wynne! Esoterica is rightβCooper has indeed incorporated himself into the family culture!

Loved the quote as well, such a canny observation! And amazing forbearance on behalf of Cooperation to allow for the cute, pink hat!

Ms O as Annie? Adorable! Is that Mr. D in the mascot costume? Great family togetherness for the game.

Well spotted, Rebecca. That is Mr. D in the costume! If only the game was as well played as our gearing up for it was…. π

Sounds like the fun cheering will be remembered long after the game is over.

Oh my stars…Cooper lounging — his full length against the door made me smile, smile, smile. What a handsome hunk of doggo. Just as Erin said…he fits right in, doesn’t he? π₯°

Ha, you said it perfectly – Cooper does fit right in! And yes, he’s so handsome which is how he gets away with eating a great deal of any paper he can get his paws onto. Is he an author you think? π π β€

Dude, that sign of the week is SO YOU! You’ve said that! That must have been very exciting to see. Funny quote from Ogden Nash. Ha. And, yes, shredding paper is incredible entertainment for kids, even older ones! π

Oh, I’m so glad to hear older kids are up for shredding too. Because I have a whole other bag that needs to be done as well. And yes, I really appreciated that sign! Happy weekend, Betsy!

My little Joe did some shredding. He was making up stories about destruction in the process. It was comical, but also a little frightening. Such a boy. π

Ogden Nash certainly summed up what all dogs hope for…an “open door policy.” I am very sure the Huskies heard all of your cheers and are grateful for them regardless of the outcome.π

Okay, Iβm convinced I need to go out and find myself purple hair and a cool dog mask for my next office meeting. Now that would be a zoom meeting to remember!

Good point, Brian! We all need purple hair from time to time. π Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

I am surprised they don’t give you a discount for your promotion of their product. Or perhaps they count the laughter as a justification of their price. That’s worth more than the gas on some days.

Yes, gas and a little perspective is definitely worth something! π
