“How does light enter a house? If the windows are open. How does light enter a human? If the door of love is open.” – Paulo Coehlo

Miss O loves going to the doctor – a preference she is trying to pass on to her brother.

I’m amused by the different views on hiking in my family. What for Mr. D is “spending time on the mountain” is still mostly a lie-about for Cooper.

Fairy houses, funny faces, going for a swing, and “training” Cooper.

A beautiful heart of the week provided by the delightfully sunny, Julia Preston, of the Voices in my Head blog and author of the incredibly fun, insightful and must-buy book Voices: Who’s In Charge of the Committee in My Head
So the sign of the week is Shakespeare just to try to keep up.
Beautiful photos. It’s nice they’re not afraid of a visit to the doctors! And I love that tree with the magical blue door. Where does it lead to?
Have a great weekend to the four of you!

I don’t know where it leads. Perhaps Mr. D does but he’s not saying… 🙂

I love the fairy doors. One day during the pandemic, along the trail system that runs through our neighbourhood, someone had painted dozens of colourful rocks and fairy doors. They really brightened our spirits.

Oh, what a wonderful thing to do. Amazing how far a thing like that can go to spread cheer!

When the kids share the same examination table, you automatically get a 50% discount on your medical bill. See if you can sell this to the doc, Wynne!

What a great idea – I’ll let you know how it works out! 🙂

Oh so good…as always…and I agree with your ‘sign of the week’ thought…yep…Shakespeare trying to stay in step with fabulous Julia. 💕
And now I need a lie-about. (It’s Cooper’s fault.) 😁

The dog lying down on the trail made me laugh. Nice to see children enjoying nature

Now I’m laughing, VJ. It is nice to see children enjoying nature while dogs just lie in the middle of the trail. 🙂

I love the hiking photos. They make me miss Washington. Where was the hike?

We do have lovely hikes, don’t we? It was Tiger Mountain although we didn’t do any of the “mountain” part. Are you and your husband still walking so early in the morning?

Not so early because it’s cooled down. We can get out of the house by 7 am instead of 5:30 am 😊

They’re all great, telling a whimsical story of life. I did a double-take on “training” Cooper. See what ya did there! 😏

Are you guys training Cooper…or is Cooper training you??

Good point. Might be more of the latter but we’re trying to get over his puppy cuteness which gives him the upper hand.
