“Children learn more from what you are than what you teach.’ – W.E.B. Dubois
We didn’t do much this week. It was all gray skies and screen time so we just gutted out the last week of March and didn’t have any fun.

APRIL FOOLS!!

Because we did manage to have quite a bit of fun this week. Including, Mr. D working out his tetherball technique with Nana.

A 2nd grade class field trip to the Seattle Center.

Practicing assembly skills so that one day they can put together their own IKEA furniture.

The kids taught me never to cede high ground in a squishmallow fight.

A blossom heart creation.

And our favorite gas station being a little cheeky.
Well you had me going there for a minute with the April Fool’s thing—good job! 😀 Another week of great photos and great fun!

I’m sure even if the family were kept indoors, Wynne, you would still have had fun. I love the blossom heart ❤️

A little quiet, a lot of action- good balance Wynne! Love the IKEA training 😉

Balance…that’s a good way to think about it. Yes, the IKEA training should save me some time in the future. 🙂

Lol – I was taking in the very serious and studious pictures of the kids as I slowly scrolled, and then was unexpectedly surprised. You got me 🙂! Happy April🌻☀️

And a stuffed toy snake, did not expect that one to be there or look so cuddly!
Loved the heart blossom, it would make a great logo, no?

Oh, I like the logo idea, EW! That snake sometimes sleeps in my son’s bed – the first few times it kinda creeped me out when I went to check on him but you’re right, I’ve started to accept him as more cuddly than expected. 🙂

That gas station sign made me laugh. And love seeing the Seattle Centre pics and that metal slides still exist! Enjoy your weekend together. A long weekend is on the horizon!

Let’s see if your kids will be able to assemble an IKEA furniture…it’s a good starting point though

Ah, a great comment, Cristiana. Well, if they do it, I’ll post it! 🙂

Beautiful shots. Love the “intense learning” looks on their faces. And oh, I think you’re into something Wynne! You should reach out to Hot Wheels with you’re new marketing idea. They should highlight the assembly required wording on their boxes. Parents would flock to Hot Whheel!!! The Ikea prep! It could be a big winner for them. Ha ha!

That’s brilliant, Brian!! Okay, here’s to Hot Wheels becoming the training ground for all “assembly required” projects! 🙂

Oh, snap. Clearly the guy in charge of signs that day was feeling grumpy.
Probably due to that lack of sex.
