“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” – Maya Angelou

It snowed for something like 5 minutes this week and didn’t stick – so we made our own with formulated snow powder. Not enough for snowmen and snowballs but plenty to dig our fingers into.

Valentine’s morning at Greenlake – I stood in this spot for like 5 minutes and no one came by alone. Even the ducks were in pairs.

A morning at a playground that felt kinda Springy- and I’m not just talking about the action on the zip line.

Reading to the cat

Great advice from Miss O’s art teacher “Never wear your favorite clothes to art class.” No articles of clothing were harmed in the making of this post. iI’s only a look of mock horror.

The heart of the week AND an Einstein quote. BONUS!
You know you are famous when your words are printed on a tea bag. Unfortunately, in this case they are the words of Steve Einstein.

Oh no – poor Steve! To say something quotable and then have it mistaken as someone else’s genius. Hopefully he remains curious. 🙂 Thanks for correcting the record.

I love the pink snow powder. Fun. Speaking from the land of much snow, it might feel like snow in one sense, but not in the temperature sense! I’m imagining putting my bare hands into a container of real snow. Brrr!! 😂

Great point, Jane! Yes, we noticed as we made it that the temperature of the mixture depended on the temperature of the water we mixed in.

Sounds like very interesting stuff. That is, of course, exactly what happens with snow … except that it’s always plenty cold! 😊☃️

The cat seems a bit…doubtful perhaps? Maybe next time some Pete the Cat books would be more stimulating 😉

Hee, hee! And the more colors I give them, then it just becomes an experiment of how fast we can get to brown… 🙂

How fun! Miss O may be destined for the stage I think. Your kiddos are so cute. I hadn’t seen that quote from Albert Einstein before, and I love it. Thanks for sharing!

I think you might be right, Rhonda! Apparently the tea company has it wrong and that’s a quote from Steve Einstein (Dr. Stein corrected the record above). Maybe that’s why it’s new to us! Happy Saturday!

The kids look like they’re growing a lot. I see a difference in their heights and faces. Glad you were blessed with a little snow! No wonder you answered the s snowy mystery question correctly!

5 minutes of snow and suddenly I’m an expert! 🙂 Love you comment about the kids growing. Now that you say it, I can see it better. Happy Saturday, Rebecca!

I love these photos and glimpses into your week, Wynne. Pink snow is awesome. Hope did you make it?
I did have a chuckle at the Valentine’s Day photos. Even those ducks were just unintentionally make it a point. Oh well, have some crispy duck for dinner this long weekend.
The photo of Mr D reading to the cat is such pure preciousness. 💕

Crispy duck – you’re funny!! I ordered some art supplies during the pandemic and they threw in that snow powder. It’s like 1 tsp to 1/3 cup water and it really expands. Then I let the kids add color — but not yellow. 🙂
Hope you enjoy the weekend as well, my friend!

Haha, I bet yellow is one of the top colour requests!

Such a fun mom. And your park has a zipline? Lucky! Miss O’s mock horror is very impressive. Gotta love Einstein’s humility.

Yay – there are several Seattle parks that have ziplines. It’s a pretty fun activity – you should come visit! 🙂 ❤
