Photos of the Week: Feb 11

“Ever since Happiness heard your name, it has been running through the streets trying to find you.” – Hafiz

Meditation with Mr. D. He might not be thinking deep and calming thoughts (yet) but check out the way those knees bend!

God bless my brother for saving some projects for my kids to help with (of course since he lives on a WWII era tugboat, that really isn’t hard to do) but I appreciate his boatload of patience… Also, for helping Mr. D get the most use possible from his Halloween costume.

Do you remember the days when you had to go to the science center to have your mind blown by optical illusions? These days all it takes is an iPad and an app…

While we love our neighborhood skeleton during the day, he might be even more charming at night!

Heart of the week – nothing says it like Playdoh!

  1. I’m with Brenda — the quote from Hafiz! Wow! That’s a keeper…one for a memory board…if I had one (lol!). Still working out how to organize beloved quotes. And the pics? Fun, fun, fun — except I’ve got one ‘beef’ with you. Playdoh, really? I expected the caption would say “Valentine’s Day cookies”. Whaaa? Those hearts…they look good enough to eat! xo! 💖💖💖

  2. First one is a win for me! Well, also the one with Mr. D doing cartwheels (or a handstand?) in the background. All are great though, and such fun! ❤️

      1. Yay! It’s such a keeper! 😊 Although all of these make my heart warm. Love and hugs back to you and your sweet family, Wynne! ❤️

  3. Very inspiring quote! The neighbor’s skeleton is definitely a fun decoration for the upcoming valentine’s day. And that perfect knee bend from your son is truly something…perhaps it’s time to visit Asia soon.

    1. It is pretty cool! My brother has worked on expanding the living area (it was a working tug when he bought it) and making it comfortable for more than 20 years – and he’s done a great job! Thanks, Jeff!

  4. What we’re the kids making with your brother? It’s so cool getting them involved with making at such a young age.

And love Mr D’s meditation pose. Very poised!

    1. They were making drawers. And my brother had done a great job of getting it all ready for them in advanced – all the pieces were perfectly cut and ready for a “quick” assembly job. Kudos to my darling brother… 🙂

By the way, we’ve been watching Sonic ever since we saw T’s bday cake. Not sure why we hadn’t tuned into it before. Love the line from Jim Carrey, “This piece of shitake planet.” There’s gotta be a post in there somewhere, right?

Hope you all have a great weekend!

    1. I was so tired that I fell asleep when trying to caption these last night – deleted a whole section because I just couldn’t think of what to say. So I’m D-E-L-I-G-H-T-E-D that you still find it worth commenting on. 🙂 Sending lots of love to you, Julia!
