“This life is for loving, sharing, learning, smiling, caring, forgiving, laughing, hugging, helping, dancing, wondering, healing, and even more loving. I choose to live life this way. I want to live my life in such a way that when I get out of bed in the morning, the devil says, βaw shit, heβs up!’” – Steve Maraboli

Our decorations are up. I’m not holding my breath that the Christmas snail is going to catch on very soon. First, he looks grumpy and also, he just doesn’t instill confidence that the package will arrive on time. But if I see any others in our neighborhood, I’ll take a picture and post it here.

The big story (or non-story, I’m not sure) this week was the snow. We did get a dusting and despite the interruptions, it was beautiful.

Trust me, this one looks better than it sounds.

My heart of the week was less of a mystery than heart shaped leafs, but one of the best kind of love – created close to home!

The golden rule as it applies to social media. Hope you all had a week where you were tweeted well!
The devil saying βaw shit, heβs upβ is funny π

I thought so too! Thanks for commenting, Cristiana!

That holiday snail will catch on⦠it may be slow at first, but it will! Your tree is beautiful and so nice to get the kids involved in decorating. Enjoy your weekend!

Ha, ha, ha — I’m laughing about the “it may be slow at first.” Good one, my friend! Happy weekend to you all! β€

Some really nice pics, Wynne. Christmas Snail, thatβs definitely a new one for me. And I love the tweet quote, except of course that it now canβt help but remind us of that strange man going by the name of Elon! π

Yes, it reminds me of him as well and 45 and Kanye. Maybe there it’s most important right now! Thanks, Jane!!

I like the Christmas Snail and hope he is the next big sensation. I also like the colors of your walls. The juxtaposition of the sage green adjacent to the terra cotta is spectacular. Soothing and inviting.

Thank you, Ally. I was lucky enough to get the help of a designer to pick the colors before we moved in. Now that was almost 20 years and a couple of lifetimes ago but the colors have held up…. π Happy weekend, Ally!

Happy Saturday, Wynne. Love your photo-blog, ‘week in review’. It’s how I know it’s Saturday! Hard to pick a fave this morning…you know the kids are the main attraction, right – LOL – but I must say, your snap of the winding road with the sprinkling of fallen leaves? Nature IS spectacular. As for the snail? The “Vicki jury” is out…but I recall a time when our dear daughter enjoyed playing with snails and named one – Rose. I didn’t get it then, but maybe if snails are trending now, I need to get with the program. π

Thanks, my friend. Doing photos for a week in review makes me take a few more minutes to enjoy and take pictures of things I like during the week. It’s turned out to be a great practice.
That’s funny that DD named one. Rose, I like it! Don’t worry about having to adopt the Christmas snail trend — it’s going to be a LOOOONG time before it gets from here to there.
Have a wonderful weekend!! XOXO!!

You, too…and maybe a post about DD and the snail should come forward…hmmm…you’ve given me something to mull! xo! π

All the decorations look great! I’m trying to get motivated to put ornaments on the tree. Have a great weekend!

Oh, good luck with those ornaments! I don’t suppose the dogs are any help, are they? Have a great weekend!

Unfortunately, they are not! That would be great though if they could help! And if they could help bringing in groceries and putting them up! They are all sleeping right now. Little lazies! π

Thank goodness for all the love they bring to the house — because otherwise, they aren’t pulling their weight!! π π π

My very first Christmas snail sighting! I really think this is quintessential PNW. He’s great! Now you need to find a socks & sandals snowman π I am also pleased when I see religious institutions embracing contemporary messaging. Anyone can relate to that sign.

I’m howling – quintessential PNW indeed. If I find a socks and sandals snowman, I’m sending it to you! π π Hope you have a great weekend, Deb!

Can’t say I’ve ever seen a Christmas snail before, but thanks for shelling out all these pics. Hope you get a lot more snow this winter! (Unless you don’t like it. In which case, I’ll hope for your sake this little dusting is the last.)

The sweet one’s decorating your Christmas tree could become a Norman Rockwell painting! I am also appreciating the ‘toe art – heart’ creation in the dusting of snow! We know what is in her heart!

Thank you, Mary! It was a sweet moment of decorating. Now I’m finding Mr. D taking off the ornaments on a regular basis. I suppose to him if he put it up, why can’t he take it off? π
Love how you see things! Thanks for the lovely comment!

Mr. Snail does look a wee bit grumpy, but then, he IS carrying a pretty heavy load. So, thereβs that. π
And I agree with Mary – the tree decorating photo could indeed be a Normal Rockwell. Really, though, I loved all of the pics, Wynne. Thank you for sharing them with us! π€

Clearly I’m behind the times (and the snail too, apparently). I’m going to have to ask: What is PNW, and what is the reference to 45 just before Kanye ((Yeβat least I’ve up on Ye!) Love the Saturday photos, the Sunday funnies, the devil’s lament and the “Tweet others” sign. I’m with Jane thoughβnot too sure about the strange man who identifies as Elon. Happy holiday doings in your happy home! πΉ

Ah yes, all the acronyms and people that should not be named. PNW is the Pacific Northwest which clearly has a lot of snails- and socks and sandals people. 45 is the 45th president of this country who may be reinstated to Twitter because of the strange man who identifies as Elon…
I forgot Kanye is now Ye. Geez, it’s hard to keep up!
Happy holidays to you, Julia! β€ β€ β€

Thanks so much for my education. The PNW was a puzzle, (I should have figured it out) but now that I know what (not who) 45 is, I’m not surprised that I didn’t know. Blocked it out! LOL

Blocked it out indeed. And now that we’re talking about it, I don’t know why we call it the Pacific Northwest. It’s not like there is another northwest that we’re differentiating from. Right?

Good point! If we were to follow suit, why not the ANE β Atlantic Northeast? Maybe I’ll start a trend just for confusion’s sake.

I’m guessing that you might never even get a dusting of snow where you are. Is that right, Betsy? But yes, sweet to have little hearts drawn by sweethearts when we do! Happy Saturday my dear friend!
