“All the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds of today.” – Indian Proverb

Blocking the view

Mr. D is very interested in being the “food maker” these days. It’s a bold thing to ask to help with during Thanksgiving week.

Fall biking … which is a lot better than bike falling. And although the shadow makes it look like I’m riding with Mr. D on my head, I can assure you that’s not the case — see the previous sentence.

Of the many things I’m thankful for this week, one is definitely the gorgeous sun that has been treating us to incredible views from dawn to dusk.

Love is on the ground doesn’t sound very interesting so I’ll “leaf” this caption up to you all. How was your week?
Interesting to say the least ❤️

That pizza that Mr D is making looks delicious. Next stop: Turkey dinner! 🙂
Hope you all have a lovely Thanksgiving long weekend. And I hear ya on the Black Friday madness. Not my cup of tea either. Take care,

Yes, I think Mr D has to work on not eating everything as he cooks but that’s a minor point.
Hope you all have a relaxing weekend, Ab!

We got a lovely week didn’t we, but I wonder if that is the end of autumn for us? I need to find the window scraper and the snow brush and pop them by the front door just in case the snow really does come in. Have a good week Wynne!

You might be right about the end of autumn. I saw a lot of people getting their lights up outside — seemed to be trying to take advantage of the weather while it was still nice. That’s a good idea about the window scraper and brush! Hope you have a lovely weekend, Deb!

Tell Mr. D the ‘food maker’ to hop on over…I can put him to work! Love the photos…and do I spy…with my little eye…a sweet pic of D with your mama? 😉 Hugs to all…and geez…one last thing…you’ve got quite the knack for spotting inspirational leaves. Are you keeping a count of how many heart-shaped lovelies you’ve found? xo! ❤

Good eye, Vicki. Yes, that is Mr D with my mama learning how to make Thanksgiving pies.
About the leaves – I see those everywhere I go. To me so many look like hearts. Is that a PNW thing?
Hope you have a great day, my friend!! XOXO!

So sweet…those pie bakers! And hmmm…if I was more of an arborist and knew my leaves, I could venture a guess about heart-shaped leaves by region/geography/climate. I’m not sure! And great point — maybe there are some here in the Midwest and I’m not the keen-eyed person you are. Or…maybe they’re PNW beauties and that’s that! Either way…great pic! 😉

I be-leaf in the power of love. 😊 And I love that it’s well represented in these pictures. The photos themselves are heart-warming and your sense of humor had me smiling all the way through.
I think the best part though is when I see the toe of the picture taker that’s clearly sitting on the floor. Sounds funny, but it tells us you’re really present with your kids. As a single parent, trying to juggle responsibilities, that would be challenging, but you do it so well. I really appreciate that about you, Wynne! 🤍

Oh, Kendra — you see me. Thank you – what a lovely affirmation. Yes, I try to get down on the floor as much as possible and it is hard. But especially on Saturday morning, it seems especially important to make that re-connection! Thank you for noticing and commenting – I appreciate it so much!! ❤ ❤ ❤

Haha lovely week Wynne. Looks like plenty of fall fun was had, not fun falling. 😆 Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Mr. D got to help with the pumpkin pie perhaps. Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend.

Good eye, Alegria – Mr D was helping with the pumpkin pie. His sister with the apple.
I’m guessing you did your Thanksgiving celebration in October. But either way – I’m grateful for you! ❤ ❤ ❤

Mr. D looks like he’s quite good at making a pizza. And helpful, no doubt. The photo of the leaves as a heart is delightful. Nothing like serendipity to keep a person in awe of nature.

Serendipity – you nailed it with that word, Ally. Yes, love and nature coming together to reinforce a love of nature!
