“In every walk with nature, one receives far more than one seeks.” – John Muir

Photos from our hike on Tiger Mountain as described in The Journey is the Destination!

Playgrounds and blackberry picking at Discovery Park

I have a favorite place to go workout on some stairs (13 flights for a total of 290 stairs) and I took Miss O with me this week. There are some great views of Lake Union and the Space Needle from the upper flights which always helps with the motivation!

Signage humor. What made you laugh this week?
Lovely photos from lovely outings. Green therapy is the best. What’s Mr D shoving in his mouth? Blackberries? Looks yummy whatever it was! And the Mozart sign is hilarious. I’ve never seen on his painting either. 😆

Many things. I laugh a lot. Here’s just one, an old Woody Allen joke: “I’d like to leave you with a positive message, but, uh, I don’t have one. Would you take two negative messages?”

Have a wonderful day every day and until we meet again..
May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
Brightened by a song
in your heart,
And warmed by the smiles

That sign made me laugh! The granddaughters make me laugh. So often they resemble 35 year old women in kids bodies. I also laughed at the sticks in your kids hands on the hike. What is it about kids and sticks? Miss O has the rather dainty and far reaching version with Mr D ready to use his to chop the heck out of that slug. He’s going to want a real trail knife soon…

Those are some good things to laugh at!
And now I’m laughing about your observations about those sticks. I hadn’t noticed the different styles but now I’m chortling. And fearing you are right that it isn’t long before Mr. D wants to bushwack! 🙂
Happy Saturday! May this smoke clear out soon!

LOL! Thanks for the prettiness and the humor! Wouldn’t it just be hilarious if someone dug up paintings which had indeed been painted by the famous composer?!

As usual delightful post! Thanks for sharing your wonderful memories of your happy 😃 family outings.
My granddaughter made me laugh this week with her antics of crawling all over me and then trying to crawl over the barricade to get to her mommy. I’m not allowed to share pics of her online which I honor but she gets cuter by the day! So much fun!
Also what made me laugh is all the inside jokes we have with my 28 year old daughter. Other family don’t think they’re funny but then we laugh even harder. It’s a riot!❤️😂😂😂

I do miss blackberry picking! It amazed me how you could find those bushes everywhere. But what I REALLY miss is picking huckleberries (even though I had this morbid fear of winding up inside a bear’s digestive system).

Yes, I love huckleberries too. They make such great pies. But you’re right about blackberries – they are everywhere but the thorns are yikes!!
