Featured photo: Either the bench grew legs or everyone chose the same hiding place for toddler hide and seek.
Quote for the week: “And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.” – Louis Armstrong

And hide and seek isn’t the only old game we played this week. The kids were loving the WII games that must be about least 15 years old. But hey, they still work for amusement apparently!

Probably because the other thing to play with is the garbage can. It was two doors down the street before I realized it had “grown” legs and started walking.

Our other theme this week was giving inappropriate foods to animals. We caught a squirrel at the park commandeering a birthday cupcake and at home we practiced singing happy birthday with the cat.

When you learn to open the sunroof, the sky’s the limit!

Walking out of the gate on the last day of school.
How was your week?
Thanks for the wonderful update about your family’s week, Wynne–wonderful to see and read. My week was also wonderful, thanks; but, of course, you know me–I would never (ever) speak about or focus on a negative because I believe it only creates more of the same. Gratitude all the way…. 🙂

The trash can is my favorite! Thanks Mr. D for the reminder that while growing old is inevitable, growing up is purely optional . . . adulthood is highly overrated 😊

You have made me laugh once again, Fred! Yes, adulthood is highly overrated. Must be why we have kids so that we can enjoy it all over again!

What a great idea to let them lead, Ally! That’s true – they are better at finding fun anywhere and everywhere. Hope you have a great weekend!

Lol! Right?! When my daughter was Miss O’s age she dressed up one of our cats in Cabbage Patch doll clothes and pushed her around in her doll stroller. Good times! 🤪

Last day of school! We’re your children happy about it? I remember I was always a bit sad at their age because going to school was such a beautiful experience. It changed throughout the time though, I guess because it became tougher and tougher…

You are so right on with this comment, Cristiana. My daughter was very sad about it because she loved her teacher and class so much. I was surprised by that reaction but maybe you are right, that too will change over time!

Love them all. Though the last day of school brought extra thrills as it always did for me when my kids were in school. Happy Summer to your kiddos!

Thank you, Alegria! The last day of school is a fun milestone isn’t it? I was surprised when I came with some grief for my daughter but then it made sense – she loved her teacher and class this year! Happy Summer to you!

I loved the Wii! We (wii?) still have one, but I haven’t hooked it up in ages. Might be time for a stroll down Nostalgia Lane soon.

It’s still pretty fun, Mark – a few new batteries and it shapes up nicely. Wii get moving!

That looks like a really relaxing and fun week!! I’ve been super busy this week. We had 5 people come to our farm, we went to Savannah Georgia, visited an island and enjoyed wild horses and gorgeous ruins. We we’re up early and up late every single day and we’re all exhausted. We slept in today but in just 2 days time we’re headed to glacier National park. I’m looking forward to it!

Holy smokes, Lashelle! What a week you’ve had. That sounds fun (and exhausting). I’m so excited for your Glacier adventure. I hope it’s fantastic – even the tents. 🙂
