Photos of the Week: March 26

It’s nice to see that someone has a sense of humor about the price of gas!

It’s Cherry blossom time in Seattle. Yay! I think these three trees with holes the size of the buses that drive the street regularly might be my favorite. They remind me of wisdom from poet Mark Nepo. “We don’t have to be finished to be Whole.”
Someone wore his SuperMan costume every day this week. But even with the extra laundry (and one day he had to wear it damp), I’m all for it. After all, when we find something that makes us feel confident and strong, it’s worth wearing repeatedly!
It gives me a little heart hiccup to see Miss O learning to drive already but thankfully the speed and the range of this vehicle keeps her close to home.
Time for spring cleaning!
We actually went to a restaurant this week. A complete novelty for Mr. D who has only been out to eat about a handful of times in his life, mostly when he was 7 months or younger. Fortunately Miss O is always willing to teach him how to handle situations. In this case, how to close your eyes so no one notices that you are going to drink their lemonade.

Thank you for sharing wonderful photos and adventures!!.. one day Miss O will be asking for the keys to your car!… one can see a lot of love and happiness in your world!!… “ The love a mother has for her children is legendary, it is said a child is the mother’s heart outside her body.” (Author Unknown).. 🙂

    Until we meet again..
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
    wherever you may roam.

    1. Oh Dutch, you are so right about the heart outside my body. I know that Miss O will be asking for the car keys but am so glad that it’s not today — or even tomorrow. I like having them close. ❤ ❤ ❤

Thank you for reading and commenting! Sending my best to you!

  2. I love the photos of your two children having such a great time at the restaurant. I’m glad you enjoyed that outing together.

Cherry blossoms are such a treat and more so because it’s such a shortlived display of beauty.

That Taco Bell sign is hilarious. And so true!!!

    1. What a great point about the cherry blossoms – and I think because they mark spring for me, they just light my brain up!!

Taco Bell — hilarious! Isn’t most humor funny because it’s true! 🙂

      1. He knows toots are funny already — not sure how (or why) that sense of humor is instilled in everyone. 🙂 I remember when the kids magically reached that age in preschool when potty humor became SOOO funny. All of a sudden it was like the whole class just reached a magical milestone and then… 🙂

    1. That’s funny – somehow I’d assumed you were in Eastern Canada. Wow, we’re neighbors! It is a pretty time of the year.

That Taco Bell sign cracks me up every time I think of it! Happy Saturday, Ashley!
