Gus is named after Odysseus’s faithful dog, Argus. Simon is not impressed, as usual….
Gus is helping us create a new welcome mat. Just so visitors aren’t surprised if they find a chip on the couch, don’t get privacy in the bathroom or discover the remote is nowhere to be found.

Gus says this is a slogan that he can get behind.
I told Gus that he’s not alone because I think this about myself all the time!

Gus knows that stopping, bowing and feeling the ground beneath his paws brings him great energy for his quest to find and thank the Great Maker of all balls!
Gus has written out his personal affirmations after watching “The Help.” I’m surprised that “I can stomach anything” didn’t make his list!
This is always true — but especially this past week. Because being an adopted dog and adjusting to sweet and sometimes nervous adopted dog isn’t always easy but it’s better with the help of friends!
Gus is singing one of my favorite songs from “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” After being abandoned twice, getting neutered and going to the emergency vet all in one month, he ought to know. But now he’s got a lot of people to love so what seems painful was just a transformation to a new life! Gives me hope for the work in progress that is my life!
