Meet Emmy. Her 80-year old owner passed away in June and a member of her owner’s care team and her husband adopted Emmy. Her new owner, Tim, told us that there is a rule of threes in adjusting to a change like this, 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months — a process of unfolding, trusting and becoming secure. I imagine that Emmy’s former owner is resting easier knowing that she was to be adopted by such caring and compassionate people.
