“Gotta move different when you want different.” – unknown

Miss O and Mr. D participated in their school move-a-thon this past week.

Of course, move-a-thons are just what I call normal days in our house.

Except Cooper and the cat don’t always participate.

The sign of the week – and my young creators.
yes, keep on moving; I practice this fervently , Wynne: gym three times a week, lake or beach walks twice a week, and the other two days incidental movement like climbing stairs and escalators in the mall; whew 🙂

Yes, absolutely! And it’s better than what I had in elementary school where we were required to run X-numbers laps. It sounds like the kids had freedom to move however they like, which is so perfect!

Jump Rope for the Heart is something schools here to do once a year as a fitness and fundraising initiative. Miss O made me think of it. She’s also looking like a teenager!
I thought of you three this morning in the context of baseball. I hope we can still be friends after this next round of baseball championship series. 😂
Jokes aside, happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

She does look like a teenager, doesn’t she? Something about 5th grade!
Oh yes, the next round of baseball is going to be tough. My kids stayed up til 10:30 last night to watch our game against the Tigers. And you all have been resting UP!!!
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving, my friend!!

Kids in motion – awesome. The lumber yard was very inspirational this week! What are the kids drawing on the boards?

Good question. Words, lightning bolts, hearts mostly. It’s surprisingly hard to draw with spray paint!

Thanks for sharing your photos, Wynne. The trees look like there’s lots of summer left in them. Autumn is my favorite time of year. It’s Thanksgiving in Canada this weekend. Really missing it. 🙂

What a great quote, Wynne, and I’ve never heard of a move-a-thon in schools before. Maybe it’s a newer thing, but a good thing! 🙂 Love the photos, and your daughter and son remind me of mine when they were young. And what a life for Cooper and the cat! It’s all about belly rubs and lots of rest. 🥰

Based on how quickly kids’ lives become digital, it’s great to implement a move-a-thon! Love all those fluffy pet bellies just asking to be rubbed! Have a wonderful week, Linda xx

I think Cooper and the cat are actually participating. I had to look these up to make sure I was naming them correctly, but the cat is doing a Shavasana (Corpse Pose), and Cooper was attempting a Supta Matsyendrasana I (Supine Spinal Twist) but got distracted. 😂
