“Every day a million miracles begin at sunrise.” – Eric Jerome Dickey

Bike riding with Nana (my mom)!

Fishing is not my thing. But it has been consistently something that Mr. D has wanted to do for a year. Even after his experience when he’d just turned four-years-old and borrowed someone else’s pole. He put it in the water three times and was astonished he hadn’t caught anything. “That, my dear,” I explained, “is why they call is ‘fishing’ and not ‘catching.'”
His tenacity convinced me to get him a pole and be contented to sit by and see the wildlife. Who clearly weren’t worried that we were going to catch a thing.

“Upside-down.
Boy, you turn me inside out
And round and round”
I had to look up those lyrics to name that tune, Upside Down by Diana Ross.

Miss O can make any chair look cool. Even the dentist chair, a massage chair or curled up at home.

After I’d taken the picture of the sign of the week, Miss O pointed out this run-off drain on a busy street. Mary Oliver is right.
My take on the drain is that the Green Party is making progress. The polar bears sure can use more ice, too. Time to get the kids to work on it, Wynne!

I like that take, Dr. Stein. We do live in the Evergreen state and even the drains know it. And yes, the kids are already at work on that agenda.

I’ve gotta say…go Nana, go! Your mom delights me, Wynne. (Okay, you and the kids, too, but Nana doesn’t appear in every Saturday round-up.) xo! 🥰

Mr D would like to fish out of my big boat. I was like him as a kid. I understand.

Okay, Gary. I’ll sign you up for his fishing master. I think you two would get along famously!

I’m sure we would. At one point in my life, I had taken every kid in our church fishing (and they all caught fish). Kids are not afraid to ask, and they are persistent. Love it.

Looks like a delightful week, Wynne. Summer has emerged and that bike ride looked like so much fun.
Yes, let’s find ways to be astonished each and every day. 💕🙏

I love the images of Mr. D with his little rabbit companion. It brings to mind The Velveteen Rabbit. *love* Isn’t it amazing the way summer always has a knack of being “suddenly here”, when it felt like forever to arrive? And I definitely want the brand name of that massage chair Miss O is quality testing. Um, judging from her expression, I want one of those. Lol

Ah, you have a good eye, Susan! Funny that Miss O’s mouth is open in the massage chair but shut in the dentist chair. Hmm…. 🙂

Sundy service? I guess they used up their last “a” on Amen!
I’m not into fishing either, but my brother loves it. Tara, too. I think I grow bored too easily.

Wonderful photos! Yes miracles occur daily, and are there if we look for them! Just because we have normalized them due to becoming accustomed, doesn’t negate their wonder!

That drain clearly has ignored its job description Wynne, but it looks cool. More power to it if it wants to be a garden instead!

Great pics as always, and major kudos to your mom for the courage to get on a bike! You’d be hard put to catch me on one of those things at my age . . . and I think we’re kind of close in years! Yay Mom!
