Photos of the Week: March 2

Don’t be afraid to start over again. This time, you’re not starting from scratch, you’re starting from experience.” – unknown

It felt like we did the same thing all week long. We picked some wheeled transportation and then meandered through the neighborhood to the small park. Then we repeatedly rolled down the grassy hill. But it was so fun that the kids wanted to do it night after night, regardless of the weather.

And Miss O found a recipe in her kids cookbook for chocolate mug cakes she could make in the microwave. We did that night after night this week as well.

We were having so much fun that the daffodils showed up.

So we cleaned the windows to see out better, and the cat wanted to join in.

Add in a rainbow, some meditation, and the sign of the week and it made for a delicious recipe of a week.

  1. What a delightful week! There’s nothing wrong with repeating the same same fun over and over. You’ve reminded me of my own childhood. We would take flattened cardboard to a big hill at the park after rain and (try to) slide down. My friends and I called it “snow-less sledding”. It didn’t work great and we often just tumbled down the hill and got muddy, but it was fun!!

  2. That’s a wonderful week Wynne. Doing the same thing, bike riding, making mug cakes, etc. all so much fun. Why not do it daily. I love too how the kids got in on the window cleaning. Smart mom! Have a wonderful weekend! 💕

    1. What an astute comment. You’re right – the repeated routine was soothing. There was a note of practicing life in it. Thank you, Rose!

  3. Once, after a few alcoholic beverages had been consumed, Tara and I thought it would be great fun to literally roll down a hill. So we did.

It was a blast except for the grass stains!
