This yard in our neighborhood gets more and more impressive every year and I’m only capturing a portion of the bulbs they’ve planted!

Worms, wetness, and wheels

Learning to whistle

Exactly how I like to party these days!

Heart of the week….Hope you all enjoy the weekend!
Gorgeous yard with sheep, even! Worms, wetness, whistles and wheels. So much to learn, so much to do, so little time. And that’s my definition of party. Perfect!

I love seeing the flowers bloom at this time of the year, including the tulips in our garden. And Spring is the best time for puddle jumping! The gleeful smile on both your childrenβs faces are heartwarming.

The flowers feel extra wonderful at this time of the year, don’t they! Hope you all are out experiencing adventures with gleeful smiles this weekend!

I’m with Ab and Julia — what a cornucopia of goodness…I’m not sure what spoke to me more…all those fun “W” experiences…or the “I like to party…” sign. Someone’s been watching me! LOL! Cheers and happy weekend, Wynne! π

Sweet photos, as always. That second sign pretty much sums up my life…time to party…er…nap, lol

That’s exactly why I took a photo of that sign – it’s my life philosophy. π Thanks, VJ!

I love how Miss O progressed from the eyes closed heavy concentration of whistle practice to eyes open to the huge smile! Perfect heart chip! Why do I think I wouldn’t have noticed the shape but simply stuffed the chip into my mouth anticipating the crunchy, salty moment of joy… π

I had the same thought about Miss O, Deb! The intense focus, which eased into pure confidence.

Well said, Erin! It was a fun little “I’ve got it” moment to witness!

I suspect I wouldn’t have noticed that chip either – except it was the last of the pile so it stood out. And I ate it right after… π
Yes, the whistling was so much fun to watch. Plenty of frustration along the way — which made it even sweeter! π

So many beautiful things to share with us this week Wynne. I love the sheep, and such an infusion of colour with all the flowers … extended to the market stall in the pick with your signs.
The kids too, looked as if they were having sooo much fun …. worms, playing in puddles … perfect. And learning how to whistle π
I’m glad you’ve had such a great week x

Oh, you notice it all – I love how you tie the flowers to the flower stall. That’s a great detail I hadn’t picked up! Thanks for sharing my week! π β€

Ah a lovely week Wynne. Beautiful pics. And a lovely garden. The wonder in your sonβs face when looking at the worm is magnificent. And yes, my kind of party too. π Have a wonderful weekend. π

Thank you for noticing, Alegria! I think he was trying very hard not to squish the worm and only observe. Isn’t it wonderful when we take our time with that? Something I KNOW you appreciate! Hope you have a delightful weekend! β€

I worked at a used book sale in the library’s garage this morning. One girl, about the same age as your son, bought a waterproof bath book specifically so she could throw it in the huge puddle just beyond the checkout tent. Now that’s making the most of a rainy day.

Flowers, children, worms, golfers, and whistlers are heartening to see. Just tell Miss O that pursing her lips and closing her eyes may produce more than a whistle!

Wow. That yard is beautiful! Did Miss O manage a whistle? She definitely was trying hard enough! I hope you all enjoy the weekend.

She did manage to whistle finally. It was a lot of frustrating trying but then she finally got the balance right! Hope you’ve had a great weekend too!

Wynne, I like the market sign message on the left regarding what constitutes life. Very profound. I also like the message on the right regarding what constitutes a party. Maybe not quite as profound, but no less accurate. π

I’m laughing about the “maybe not quite as profound, but no less accurate.” Exactly right, Bruce!!

Gas Works park looks gorgeous with the blue sky! My favorite photos are of your daughter whistling.

Doesn’t the blue sky look good? It was 75 degrees on Friday and the whole town went nuts! π I like the whistling too. It took a lot of good practicing! π

When I was at the UW and the first warm and sunny day in spring arrived, it was like a holiday! I remember my daughter working hard to whistle too π

If Miss O. ever learns to whistle, can she teach me? I’ve been trying (unsuccessfully) for over 50 years now.
