Photos of the Week: Feb 4

In every winter’s heart there is a quivering spring, and behind the veil of each night there is a smiling dawn.” – Kahlil Gibran

Weather – from freezing to springlike and back to rain all in one week. Welcome to Seattle winters – but it gave us a lot of interesting pictures.

How much is that doggie in the window? When we drive by, usually it’s an orange cat lounging there but on this particular day, the dog was taking a shift instead.

So nice to have help with my colonoscopy prep…I think. 🙂

Aww….

Which leads to the heart of the week – Cheerio dust in the sink!

  1. I never thought to recruit my children for the anticipatory joy of colonoscopy prep. You should write a book on “The Joys of Colonoscopy Prep” for the under-10 group, complete with cartoons!

  2. We’ve had some lovely sun rises and sets lately haven’t we! I am rather joyful that it isn’t dark at 3:30 anymore… I see boundless math lessons that could be tied to the C-prep and well as basic biology. A true learning experience and I second Dr. Steins idea 😉

  3. I’m chuckling over the colonoscopy prep thoughts — yours and what Ally and Dr. Stein shared. Thanks for another week chock-full of fun pics. You three deserve a day of rest…you pack a lot into seven days, Leon family! 😘😘😘

    1. I’ve got to say – the colonoscopy is great fodder for humor!

Good point about a day of rest – maybe that’ll happen one of these days…:) Hope you have a restful and relaxing weekend, you’ve had a big week too!

  4. What lovely candid moments. I love how helpful Miss O and Mr D are! And funny you saw a heart made of Cheerio dust. We just opened a box of limited edition heart shaped Cheerios for breakfast today!

  5. I wish I could share photos in the comments. A crisp (sorry chip) manufacturer here is doing a hunt the heart shaped crisp competition… I thought of you when I saw their posters

  6. I used to cook Cheerios in butter (lots of butter), brown them slightly, sprinkle with salt, and serve them to the kids as a popcorn replacement when we were out. They were such a hit with all the kids, including the neighbors, I could hardly keep Cheerios in the house. Recently I attended a mini reunion with my daughter, her best friend Sarah, her best friend’s mother (my best friend), and all their kids. The first thing Sarah did was hand me a box of Cheerios, a cube of butter, and salt, “cooked Cheerios please!” After all these years…Cheerio dust…I love that. Hugs, C
