“I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m on my way.”-Voltaire
Budding wildlife photographers starting with a suitable subject – the slug in winter.
It appears that I’m raising some tree huggers as shown on our latest hike. Well, not exactly tree huggers, but at least processed wood post huggers.
Awe inspiring mornings.
Heart of the week – rock found by Miss O on our hike.
Beautiful photos and I love how your kids are indeed budding wildlife photographers. The genuine curiosity in their eyes are such a joy to behold.

I think it’s wonderful that cameras are affordable for kids in this day and age. It makes for some fun curiosity as you point out so well. Hope you all have a great weekend!

The heart thing is getting a life of its own. Now Miss O finds them and insists I take pictures – some look less like hearts than others… 🙂
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! XOXO!

Nothing better than tree-huggers; I raised one (out of 2) who falls in that category and it is a joy to watch him pass that love of the wonders of nature on to his kids. And you have such amazing trees out on the west coast!

Oh, how neat to hear about the transitory quality of love of nature! And you are so right, Jane – we are lucky to have some wonderful trees!

Heart of the Week. Perhaps an aspirational discovery by Miss O?

An aspirational discovery – well said, Dr. Stein! Maybe so! Seems like she has a lot of those these days!

Beautiful Wynne! Silly me- I thought I saw a row of geese happily sitting on Green Lake…until I looked closer and realized it was a crew rowing!

Ha, ha, ha! It is pretty small in the gallery view. I was just so impressed they were all together and out on the water rowing in January!! Happy Saturday, Deb!

I remember being told when I was younger that if I hugged a tree the tree would take away my worries. I don’t know, but there might be something to that.

I looked right over the heart rock. The soul of a child to see it. Of course, I saw it when I went back. Love it. Great smiles. Thanks for sharing these Wynne. I need to get out more, need my nature fix.
