“One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words.” – “Johann Wolfgang von Goethe”

You know what’s worse than finding a half a roll of toilet paper unfurled in the family room? Finding a whole roll unfurled! And that perspective is what saves my sanity as I roll up the half roll of toilet paper.

Turns out there’s a lot of fun gear that comes both with mountain climbing and mountain climbing presentations.

Don’t look too closely because it seems like someone in the family wore pajamas to school every day this week. I suppose it’s great practice for the next generation of remote workers doing Zoom meetings.

And when Mr. D wasn’t just in his pajamas, he opted for the socks & sandals with full rain suit (on a perfectly blue sky day) like a true Northwesterner.

Getting ready for Friday night movie night.

I took (and posted) pictures of the continuous streak of gorgeous mornings we’ve had this week. It seemed liked if I stopped doing it, I would doom us to three months worth of overcast skies. Rationally I know it’s not my social media controlling the weather but just in case a slip of appreciation lets cloudy skies in, I keep taking the pictures.
How was your week?
These pics are all beyond wonderful! Could it be that Mr. D is on his way to growing up to adopt a Village People look? Yesterday I was quite startled to see an adult male walking around the mall in a very colorful flannel onesie—quite a look, I must say. Perhaps he was breaking ground for future zoomers. Will wonders never cease? Thanks for capturing your glorious morning photos for all of us to enjoy as we head into the dreary, grey days of winter. Such a ray of sunshine you are!

Yes, he’s got his own style and is sure of it in a way that only a 3-year-old can be. Thanks, Kendra!! ❤

I think we need to start calling Mr. D a fashion icon. He truly has it all happening and can pull off any look! It was such a gorgeous week 🙂

Looks like such a fun week. I love that kids can go to daycare-school in pajamas or Halloween costumes. I say let them enjoy it while we can. The future of work will indeed be an interesting one.
Have a wonderful weekend to you all!

Mr. D is a young man who seems to start they day without worrying himself too much about his outfit. Good for him.

What a lovely way to put it, Mary. Yes, they are delightful individuals!
Yesterday we were out biking and as I took a few pictures of Miss O on her bike, I thought about Mr. Z’s advice and took a few more! 🙂

Your photo of the half unfurled roll of toilet paper reminded me of the old joke: what’s worse than biting into a peach and seeing a worm? Seeing half a worm 😛
I love the quote you started with, words to live by, and the gorgeous photos of your kids certainly show that they live by them 🙂
