Photos of the Week: Nov 13

Life becomes more meaningful when you realize the simple fact that you’ll never get the same moment twice.” – unknown

But you might get the same soda display twice….just dressed up as a different holiday (for anyone that remembers the Halloween themed display from a few weeks ago.)

Is there anything better than a huge wheel to make you feel like you are going somewhere – even when the boat is securely tied to the dock?

The fall light was really spectacular this week. Either that or I was just so out of whack from the end of daylight savings time that I couldn’t tell whether the sun was coming up or going down.

Cold weather beach walk

It appears that the cat is trying to learn to read. I just don’t know why she’s trying to hide it?

How was your week?

  1. My Oregon heart loves the feeling of some of these pictures! Much as I love my SoCal life, the lack of deeply distinct seasons is something I notice with some wistfulness.

My week was hard but good. The things I learned?! 🥰🌈👌

    1. What an interesting wistfulness, Deborah. I’m guessing come February, you’ll be glad for your SoCal weather!

And the things you are learning – deep and profound if I have any sense of it from your latest post. Such great (but hard) stuff!!

  2. I was just gonna say I thought I had seen that same display already. It’s amazing how quickly Christmas creeps up on us. We’re putting up the tree today.

The photos on the boat with the big wheel are so precious. Enjoy your weekend ahead, you three!

    1. You’re putting up the tree? Awesome! That means I have the go ahead to do it anytime although we’ll probably wait til the day after Thanksgiving.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  3. Seriously…the pic of the three of you at the beach? What a photo! ❤
And I’m with Dr. Stein — when you’re able, I’d love to hear the cat reading to the kiddos. 😉

  4. I knew there was a Christmas display in there somewhere, but not until I squinted my eyes did I see the snowman. That display took some real creativity and a lot of energy! Kudos to those who did it. Thanks for sharing, Wynne, and also for the as-always delightful family photos.

    1. It’s a funny thing but Miss O can discern the displays right away but I have a better chance when I’m looking through the camera. It takes me a minute too! Sending light and love, Julia!! ❤ ❤ ❤

  5. Your fall is more fall than mine. It feels like we went from late summer three weeks ago to frigid – mostly because we did. My trees, however, were so shocked by drought and storms that they went from green, to brown, to ground with nary a pause.

  6. Fantastic pictures!

I thought there was something familiar about the soda display. 😃 And I love that the cat’s secretly learning to read!

  7. I remember the soda display very well. Can’t wait to see what they do for Festivus!

Great sky pics, by the way. There’s just something about this time of year that brings out the best sunrises and sunsets.
