Photos of the Week: July 30

The cure for anything is salt water – sweat, tears or the sea.” – Isak Dinesen

We experienced a lot of salt water this week – mostly sweat and the sea. There is a small island that is a nature preserve about 40 minutes from us and it has an incredible expanse of tidal flats. In the heat of this week, it was the perfect place to go.

Mr. D had a birthday and it seems most of the pictures I have are of his sister openings his presents for him or showing him how to play with them. Ah, the life of the younger child.

I’ve lived in my house for almost 20 years but it when we painted our motto on the front walk, it felt more like home than ever!

That’s what we dug this week. What are you digging into on these summer days? Do you have a motto?

  1. What a lovely week! My youngest granddaughter stayed with me all week, since we had enrolled her in aqua camp. (They live 3 hours away from me.) I had a LOT of driving to do, since camp was on one side of the city, work is at the other and my apartment is in the middle but the same distance north. It was really nice to spend time together in the evenings!

The saltwater excursions look wonderful. It is cleansing physically and spiritually. Glad you got to enjoy this outing together.
