“Plunge boldly into the thick of life.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Argh!! I made the mistake of taking the kids with me to Costco.
The Crocodile Cave is pretty easy to set up though. It’s taking it down and trying to put it away in a storage case that’s a problem. Harder than any tent I’ve ever tried. After I wrestled with it (kinda like a croc) for at least 15 minutes the other night. Miss O asked if I got her slime out before I put it away.
“No,” I replied, “Where did you put it?” She sweetly replied, “In the climbing hand holds. Can you go get it out for me?”
That was a “no.” 🙂
After which I was very glad we got some soothing time in nature, hiking with my dear friend, Katie!
“Mom, the cat cut in front of me to get inside for dinner first! Can I sweep her away?”
First, Mr. D experimented with scootering through puddles. It ended “wetly.” So the next day, he prepared by putting on all the outer wear he could find. He stayed dry from the puddles but was pretty sweaty… 🙂
First picture here is a little random except for anyone that remembers Mark Petruska’s hilarious post Sock-Sock-Shoe-Shoe. Miss O, unprompted by me, announced she was a shoe-shoe-sock-sock girl.
And the sign of the week – oh, I relate!
Leave it to Costco to create a Crocodile Cave fit for 100, plus slime. The camera sure loves your children! Thanks, Wynne!

Great point about it being Costco sized, Dr. Stein. Yes! Thank you, my friend!

Ah yes, so many things to climb. There’s a children’s book that features two little ducks following each other around to explore. My kids remind me of that. One jumps on a rock and then other does. One looks under a bush and then the other does… 🙂 Happy Saturday, dear Vicki!! ❤ ❤ ❤

I’m not familiar with the Mark Petruska sock sock thing, but I love the twinkle lights on the stairway wall—and I LOVE this week’s sign and the slimy sweaty wetty’s!

Slimy sweaty wetty’s — you are so inventive and delightful, dear Julia. I’m chuckling all over again. And I love you!! Happy Saturday, my dear friend!

Haha I think we can all relate to that sign. I’m immensely proud of you for wrestling with the crocodile Wynne. Taking the kids to Costco was a feat in itself I’m sure, and then you wrestled that thing into place? 😆 wow! Beautiful pics of happy kids! What more can one ask for.

Perfect way to put it – what more can one ask for? Except for lovely people to share the fun with. Thanks for being part of that equation, dear friend!

Lol, this week cracked me up, but I’m sure the crocodile wasn’t as fun dealing with as my mind’s eye saw it! 😅 Ooh, slime stuck inside? That will be “fun” to deal with when you unpack it later! Not sure if WD40 will come to the rescue to remove it!

I haven’t asked because I don’t really want to know — but I think the slime is in some sort of container. Miss O loves her slime but is *mostly* responsible when it comes to its care and storage. Happy Saturday, dear Tamara! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I hope is is in its container too! Happy weekend to you too!

Goodness, that Croc Cave is big! I suppose it would have to be. And of course, I’m partial to the pictures of your pup and cat. They are both so pretty! Good luck with the slime.

This is a good reminder to me to pay more attention to where I leave my slime! And nearly everything else, of course!! 😂

Ah yes! The thick of life. Great quote. There’s nothing more fun in the PNW than puddles – thank goodness for rubber boots and rain gear. Best of luck with the Crocodile Cave in the future. Do you have a way to vacuum the air out? I imagine it might make stowing it a little bit easier?

Good point about the air. No, the blower doesn’t suck the air out but it does *mostly* deflate on its own in about 15 minutes.

A mistake? No way. More like, you had the great fortune of taking the kids to Costco and going home with the Crocodile Adventure Cave. What a cool play area? Where’s my invite? Since I don’t see one in the mail, I’m leaving for Costco right now to see if I can get my very own Brian Crocodile Adventure Cave. It looks really cool. The kids get to work on their climbing skills and then that slide . . . now that looks like fun. WE need video of you sliding down the slide Wynne! Your kids have great taste in adventure. Love it. I’ll let you know if I can find my own version. Ha, ha. ha.

I love your take on things, Brian. ❤ ❤ ❤ You and Kath have a permanent invitation – no expiration. But the Crocodile Cave has an explicit warning for no adults. It’s given me air cover to not have to climb the slime holds…. 🙂

I love how much traction that post has gotten. And how much traction Miss O must be getting wearing socks on the outside. At least she’s putting everything on in the right order!

I’m dying over here. T cozied up next to me as I was reading your post and is now going on about how it’s unfair that your kids have a Crocodile Cave and he doesn’t. 😆 And he’s asking for one. That, too, is a “No” from me. 😆
I love the adventure and fun filled week that you three enjoyed. Enjoy the rest of this long weekend!

Tell T there are no crocodiles in Canada. But he can come visit ours!

What a fun mom you are! When my kids were young Costco didn’t carry crocodile caves. Thank goodness! Cooper looks so grown and handsome.

I’m glad for you that you dodged the Crocodile Cave. But you probably didn’t need one since you had a pool!!
Cooper has grown so FAST! I can’t believe.
Happy Easter, Elizabeth! Hope you are feeling better!
